Hervé Lassïnce

Hervé LASSïNCE (born 1973) is a French photographer and multidisciplinary artist whose bold fusion of digital imagery and classical influence explores the tension between modernity and tradition.

Lassïnce’s singular approach to capturing the beauty, vulnerability, and authenticity of human connection is particularly apparent in his intimate portraits. His work largely consists of spontaneous portraits — of family, friends, lovers, and partners —taken in everyday life across France and around the world, from Benin and Tunisia to Mexico, India, and the United States.

Represented early in his career by Agathe Gaillard Gallery, Lassïnce is currently represented by Galerie Orsay Paris-Seattle. He is the author of “Mes frères” (published by Granon), an acclaimed photo book exploring fraternity, intimacy, and human ties. His work has been exhibited in Paris, Marseille, and at the Villa Noailles in Hyères during the International Festival of Fashion and Photography, as well as internationally in Düsseldorf, London, Los Angeles, and Milan.

Critical Acclaim — French Press on Hervé Lassïnce

“The artist captures in natural light the miraculous, almost mystical harmony of an instant.. Through this process of extimacy that shatters the boundaries of the private, Hervé sends Caravaggio’s religious chiaroscuro spinning against the violent, flashed rawness of a Nan Goldin.” — Julie Baret, “Têtu”

“One finds many other entanglements of unashamed bodies… an intimate community of brothers, women, and children, wandering through woods or haunting underground parking lots in the nude.” — Julien Gester, “Libération”

“Hervé Lassïnce’s brothers are moments, landscapes, inner and profound… The pleasure of living and being together.” — Thomas Doustaly, “Le Monde”
